Beautiful gifts

We are early risers, even on the weekend, and the gift in that is being able to open the blinds and be surprised each day at the sunrise view that awaits me.  At this time of the year, it is shifted to the right a bit and so is visible from the side window here in the room where I sit at the computer.  It is framed by the hackberry tree that stands between mine and my neighbors house.  I often wonder how people can go through each day and never look up and notice the sunrise and sunset.  They are such beautiful gifts we are given.  It feels almost sacred to me when I stand and gaze upon it and it puts everything into perspective for my day.  It puts me in a happy, peaceful frame of mind... ready to face the day with love and kindness.

So true. I am blessed with wonderful sunrise views from an east-facing siding glass door looking out over a wetland.

Lovely! Sunrise in my neighborhood isn't quite as pretty as yours (although I've seen some pretty spectacular ones on my way to work). Of course, I'm NOT an early riser on the weekends so I miss out anyway...
